Designed for rough water and covering distances, this expedition kayak is maneuvrable, direction stable and carry higher loads. Made to fit the small paddler by designing a smaller cockpit and less volume than the standard Explorer, but the same hull. This kayak is more stable than the Pilgrim Expedition and will support a heavier paddler.
The kayak is fitted with a foam seat, unless otherwise requested. If a paddler should instead want a High performance glass seat, this can be fitted for no extra cost, but it has to be specifically ordered. The small paddler may even want to consider the small size High performance glass seat, also for no additional costs. The kayak has a low rear deck for easy rolling, a keyhole cockpit that gives excellent grip, control and allows quick exit if need be. The sloping bulkhead behind the seat allows the kayak to be emptied by lifting only the bow, no x-rescue is necessary.
An expedition kayak for the small paddler, length: 532.5 cm, width: 54.5 cm, depth: 31 cm, overall volume: 282 litres, front hatch volume: 80 litres, cockpit volume: 110 litres, day hatch volume: 37 litres, rear hatch volume: 55 litres.
